After a long period of various typographic experiments, I decided I wanted to seriously take a stab at creating my own typeface. Drew Sans, a sans serif typeface based loosely on my own handwriting, was the end result.
You never really know how much time and effort goes into making a typeface until you actually jump into making one. I went through dozens and dozens of total revisions for each of the characters. After that came the challenges of kerning pairs and individual letter spacing.
Here’s a look at most of the English characters to date. Support for other languages (French and Spanish) are currently being worked on.
